From the trees with their new, little buds to the opening of the Cubs’ new stadium, it seems everything is in a state of renewal. That goes for Leadership Story Lab, too. Last week we launched our new website, which is easier to navigate, more mobile friendly and offers additional resources.
So what are some of the best new features and what can you find there?
1. Free Events
One of Leadership Story Lab’s primary goals is to give people opportunities to practice and learn about business storytelling. To that end, we host two free events each month: Speaking Society and Open Story Lab. To find out more about them and when they are, look at the events page.
One of the most common questions in business and interview settings is: Tell me about yourself. And … it is one of the hardest to answer. How do you explain who you are in a succinct, interesting and impactful way? We’ve got a section dedicated just to that!
Our resource page has videos, book recommendations and an online magazine curated by Leadership Story Lab. Each gives a unique perspective on what it means to tell stories, craft stories and use stories for business impact. If you need to bone up on storytelling or learn a little about it on your own time, this is a great place to start. Featured resources are by greats such as Kurt Vonnegut and Joseph Campbell.
On the Leadership Story Lab blog, we keep you up-to-date on issues related to business, marketing, persuasion and how to use storytelling to make it all come together. Read entries such as How To Tell Riveting Stories by Doing Nothing and If the Leopard Could Talk.
